What Is the WagerWeb Sportsbook?

The WagerWeb sportsbook is an online sports betting site that opened in 1994 in Aruba. The company moved to Costa Rica after opening and has since become a highly successful sports betting platform.

WagerWeb doesn’t have any country restrictions, which is one reason it’s so popular. Despite that, the majority of bettors using WagerWeb come from the United States.

Aside from the sports betting options offered on the site, you’ll also find a casino, esports section, and a racebook. All those options have made it an excellent choice for individuals just getting into sports betting.

Is WagerWeb Legit?

WagerWeb is a legitimate and legal online sports betting site. The site is monitored by Costa Rica’s Commerce Industry Ministry to make sure that everything is legal.

Benefits and Downsides to Betting on WagerWeb

As with anything, there are several pros and cons of betting on WagerWeb. In terms of the benefits, you can enjoy:

  • 50% cash bonuses capped at $1000
  • Fast payouts
  • Live betting
  • Reputable site
  • Multiple payout methods

The downsides are relatively few and far between, with the only major issues being that there’s high rollover for bonuses and not a lot of slot machines. Still, we’d say that the perks of the site tend to outweigh the downsides.

WagerWeb Bonuses

One of the main draws of just about any sportsbook is their bonuses. WagerWeb offers an incredible number of bonuses and bonus options, making them a sportsbook that truly stands out from the crowd.

Let’s start with their sign-up bonuses. There are three different bonuses that you can take advantage of when you join the site:

  1. Welcome Bonus: receive 75% in free play or 50% in cash with 15x rollover
  2. High Roller Bonus: 30% free play or 20% cash with 10x rollover
  3. Elite Bonus: 15% free play or 10% cash bonus with 8x rollover

Regardless of which bonus you want to take advantage of, you’ll have to make a minimum deposit of $100. The only problem with these bonuses is that it’s not super clear what the maximum bonus limits are. For most of the bonuses, it looks to be about $500.

The biggest downside of WagerWeb’s bonuses is that they have high rollovers. The 10x rollover offered on the Elite bonus is pretty high for the industry, and that’s the third bonus that most people aren’t taking advantage of.

The good news is that the Elite bonus offers a weekly 1% cashback. That makes it a decent choice if you’re planning to sign up for WagerWeb.

We also like that there’s some flexibility in WagerWeb bonuses. You can pick and choose to figure out which bonus makes the most sense for you in the long run and which will earn you the most cash.

Pro Tip: we recommend choosing the cash bonus. Cash bonuses tend to provide higher rewards in the end than going for free play.

Elite Bonus

The Elite Bonus is one of the three major sign-up bonuses, but it’s worth talking about separately. That’s because this bonus doesn’t include any betting restrictions.

On top of the 10% cash bonus, you also get 1% cashback on all your sports bets. You’ll earn that cashback as free play credits which are handed out on Mondays.

That 1% cash back applies to your total sportsbook volume, too. What’s great is that you’ll earn the bonus even if you win, which is something many other sportsbooks don’t offer.

10th Time Is a Charm Bonus

Aside from the sign up bonuses, you can take advantage of WagerWeb’s 10th Time Is a Charm Bonus. To get this bonus, you’ll need to make nine deposits without requesting a payout.

If you do so, the 10th deposit you make will be given to you by WagerWeb. They’ll average your previous deposit numbers and make your 10th deposit on your behalf.

Still confused? Let’s break it down. Let’s say that your first nine deposits were as follows:

  1. $100
  2. $200
  3. $200
  4. $200
  5. $500
  6. $200
  7. $500
  8. $200
  9. $400

To calculate your bonus, WagerWeb would average those numbers out. They’d add all the deposits together to get a total of $2,500 and then divide it by nine to come up with your 10th bonus deposit of $277.78.

This bonus deposit is something we haven’t seen on any other online sportsbook, which is what makes it such a huge draw.

Although this deposit requires you to avoid making withdrawals, it’s still ideal for anyone who’s on a current losing streak or who just wants to maximize their deposits from the site.

WagerWeb Deposits

Making deposits at WagerWeb is pretty straightforward since there are several different banking options. The options available to you include:

  • Visa
  • Mastercard
  • American Express
  • Cashier’s Check
  • Bitcoin
  • Peer-to-peer
  • Bank Wire

The site has no limits on deposits, and you can make them at any time you like. The only restriction is that you must meet the minimum deposit requirements without exceeding the maximum deposit amount.

The minimum and maximum deposit amounts vary depending on which payment method you use. The lowest minimum threshold is $17 when you deposit with a credit card.

On the other hand, if you want to make large deposits, you may want to use bitcoin which allows you to deposit as much as $10,000 at a time.

WagerWeb Withdrawals

While some betting sites can be slow when it comes to payouts, WagerWeb’s sportsbook isn’t one of them. In fact, they make it extremely easy for you to withdraw your cash.

One great feature is that you can withdraw your funds to the same method as you deposited. The only exception to this rule is that you cannot make withdrawals to your credit card. The current withdrawal methods include:

  • Bitcoin
  • Bank wire
  • Cashier’s Check
  • Peer-to-peer withdrawals
  • Sportsbook transfers

Another bonus of WagerWeb withdrawals is that you get a free withdrawal every 30 days. Although there are limits on how much you can withdraw at a time, you can take advantage of your free payout to keep costs to a minimum.

There’s a wide range of withdrawal limits and thresholds, too. Here are the main withdrawal thresholds:

  • Bank wires: allow you to withdraw between $3,000 and $10,000
  • Checks: allow you to withdraw between $500 and $3,000
  • Peer-to-peer: allow you to withdraw between $100 and $300
  • Bitcoin: allow you to withdraw between $100 and $3,000

It’s important to note that bank wire and Bitcoin withdrawals are always free. This is in contrast to most sports betting sites which only offer free crypto withdrawals.

WagerWeb Betting Limits

All online sportsbooks have gambling limits, and at WagerWeb, you’ll find limits that are a bit lower than usual. Since this is mostly a recreational sportsbook, this makes sense for the site.

Although the betting limits vary depending on what sport you’re following, the spreads and moneylines generally max out at somewhere between $3,000 and $5,000. Totals will typically max out at $3,000.

Smaller markets have lower betting limits, typically somewhere between $1,000 and $2,000. However, you can place multiple bets and increase your limits that way.

WagerWeb Sportsbook Review

WagerWeb offers a very comprehensive sportsbook, which makes sense since sports betting is the site’s primary focus. A few leagues you’ll find include:

  • MMA
  • NFL
  • NBA
  • NHL
  • MLB
  • NCAA Basketball
  • College football
  • NASCAR
  • Boxing
  • Tennis
  • Golf

It’s not just US sports leagues that are covered, either. You’ll also find sports leagues from different countries, which shows how committed the site is to create well-rounded sports betting.

A few foreign sports leagues you’ll find include:

  • La Liga
  • Premier League
  • Serie A

The site also has lines for quite a few lesser-known sports and sports leagues. It’s a great option no matter what niche you prefer to follow in sports.

In recent years WagerWeb has put a heavy emphasis on esports as well. You’ll find tons of variety in terms of games, such as:

  • Dota 2
  • League of Legends
  • NBA2K
  • Madden
  • FIFA
  • Rocket League

WagerWeb Bets

The sportsbook has a number of different moneylines, totals, and spreads for each of their sports. Plus they offer teasers and parlays that give you tons of different betting options.

If you enjoy exotic bets there are options for you as well. WagerWeb has entertainment markets and politics bets, which are recent additions to their sportsbook spreads.

What we love about WagerWeb’s bets is that they’re constantly looking for new ways they can engage their clients. They really listen to reviews and work to make sure there’s something for everyone on the site.

WagerWeb Live Betting

Many fans enjoy live betting as it’s a way to participate in the action of the sports games you’re watching. WagerWeb doesn’t disappoint with their live betting.

WagerWeb has an extremely easy-to-navigate live betting section. That makes it much easier than other sites, especially if you’re just learning how to bet

The navigation menus all feature drop-down panels that make it easy to head to whichever section you’re looking for.

In terms of live betting, you’ll find all major sports are covered. Each week all the NFL games are laid out in addition to NBA, NHA, and MLB baseball betting

Quality of Odds

WagerWeb offers very competitive betting lines. Although the sportsbook doesn’t offer reduced juice, the lines are much more competitive than other sportsbooks you’ll find.

One thing we love is that the site features dime lines. This is great for bettors who place smaller bets in larger quantities to increase long-term profit.

On top of that, WagerWeb quickly releases their odds. In the past, they had a reputation for releasing their odds very slowly. They’ve since stepped up to the plate and now release their odds in good time.

WagerWeb Casino Review

If you’ve been spending all your time in the sportsbook and want to try something new, it’s worth heading over to WagerWeb’s casino.

The casino is generally satisfactory, but it does contain significantly fewer games than most online sportsbooks. For instance, there are less than 100 slot machines. Considering the fact that many casinos have upwards of 1000, that’s not cutting it for us.

If you’re more of a table games fan, however, you’ll have about 25 options. Once again, this is lower than the average with most sites having at least 50 and sites like Everygame featuring more than 500!

The one place where WagerWeb’s casino shines is with its video poker options. This site offers 26 games, which is a lot for the industry average.

WagerWeb Casino Games

WagerWeb has quite a few different casino games, which makes it great in terms of variety. The games have no lag, but the graphics do leave a bit to be desired.

In terms of the games you’ll find in the casino, you’ll get to play:

  • Blackjack
  • Baccarat
  • Caribbean Stud
  • Casino War
  • Casino Hold’em
  • Craps
  • Jacks Or Better
  • Jokers Wild
  • Pai Gow Poker
  • Pontoon
  • Roulette
  • Sic Bo
  • Tens Or Better
  • ThreeCard Poker

If you’re looking for live dealer games that’s an option too. However, the live dealer choices are much more limited with just blackjack, roulette, baccarat, and super 6 on offer.

WagerWeb Racebook Review

If you’d prefer to bet on horse races than traditional sports, that’s an option with WagerWeb. The site offers more than 50 different North American tracks.

One great feature of WagerWeb’s racebook is that they offer 5% rebates. In other words, you’ll get 5% back on all the bets you make, regardless of whether you win or lose.

In addition, there are tons of different markets that you can bet on. The only market not offered are superfectas, but you’ll hardly miss them with all the other betting options on the site.
