Clippers vs Bulls prediction is made through full betting analysis and backed by our NBA sports betting model and numbers.

On January 31, 2023, the Los Angeles Clippers will take on the Chicago Bulls in an NBA game that promises to be a great showdown. The Clippers are currently one of the best teams in the league, while the Bulls have been 10th in the Easter Division. Let’s take a look at both teams and what we can expect from this matchup.

Overview of the game between the odds

The odds set by most sportsbooks have the Clippers as favorites, with -150 odds for the moneyline and -110 odds for the -3.0 spread.

On the other side, the Bulls are +3.0 point underdogs, presenting them a decently better pick for those willing to take a riskier bet with a slight advantage in stats in return. The odds on the moneyline stand at +130 for those looking to place their money on Chicago’s victory over Los Angeles’.

The LA Clippers

The LA Clippers have had a very successful season so far, with their current record standing at 28-25. They have been led by Kawhi Leonard and Paul George, who have combined to average t 44.8 points per game. Other key players on the team include Marcus Morris Sr., Lou Williams, and Serge Ibaka. All of these players contribute significantly to their success as a team.

Team statistics

With an average of 110.7 points per game on 47 percent shooting—and allowing 110.7 points on 46.7 percent shooting—the Los Angeles Clippers are seeking to capitalize on Leonard’s 21.3 points per game and George’s 23.5 points per game

The Clippers have been playing outstanding basketball lately, winning five of their last six matchups on the back of their lockdown defense.

Los Angeles lost their recent game against the Cleveland Cavaliers by 23 but that could be described as an off night, and their true character will almost definitely be on show in this one against a Bulls side that is still searching for consistent success.

The long trip East will be made more challenging by the fact that it is the Clippers’ third game in four nights ahead of tip-off – something for both teams to consider heading into what promises to be a highly anticipated matchup between two competitive sides.

Recent Injury Updates for LA Clippers Players

The Clippers injury list is significant at the moment, with several players carrying question marks into Tuesday’s game. Paul George is expected to play despite a knee injury and so is Kawhi Leonard who also has been dealing with a nagging knee issue. They didn’t play in the last game versus Cleveland but will be back for the game against Bulls.

Marcus Morris Sr., Robert Covington, Reggie Jackson and John Wall are all considered questionable for the matchup against the Bulls due to various ailments.

NBA Betting

The Chicago Bulls

The Chicago Bulls are currently 23-26 for the season and sit in 10th place in their conference standings. Their leading scorer is Zach LaVine, who averages 26.4 points per game. Other notable players include Nikola Vucevic, who is currently playing great.

After an impressive showing in a road victory against the Orlando Magic on Saturday, Nikola Vucevic will look to continue his hot-streak as he now has 12 double-doubles during 14 games with Chicago.

His stellar play leaves him sixth amongst players this season with 28 total double-doubles and counting!

In their most recent home game -a 111-100 win versus Atlanta, Vucevic tallied 17 rebounds and seven assists; putting up six helpers against former team Orlando last week, while also finding ways to contribute all over the court.

Recent Injury Updates for Bulls Players

D. Jones Jr. (probable), M. Simonovic (probable), C. Jones (questionable) and L Ball are struggling with various ailments; the latter will remain sidelined indefinitely due to a knee issue while J Green is hoping to return sometime in mid-February following his own bout of knee problems which began back on January 10th.

Betting Analysis and Prediction for the Game

Given their current form and recent injuries suffered by key players on both sides, it’s difficult to predict how this game will turn out when it’s played tonight in Chicago.

However, if we look at recent performances by both teams then we can safely say that Los Angeles should be favored going into this matchup given their superior record so far this season as well as their star power consisting of Kawhi Leonard and Paul George among others .

Though the odds are in favor of the visiting team for now with Kahwi Leonard and Paul George leading their charge, things may not be so simple when you consider that the Bulls have a fair amount of home-court comfort this season – boasting an impressive 13-10 home record.

NBA Betting Model

With the Bulls playing at home and my predictive NBA betting model taking current lineups into account, it looks like Chicago is close to even with their opponents. Home field advantage tips the scales in favor of a small edge for the Bull’s chances of success.

NBA betting model projections – 1/31/2023

Although there are many factors that could swing things either way, I think that this game could be much closer than most people think. Sure, the Clippers will have Leonard and George back in the lineup, after they didn’t play against Cleveland Cavaliers. But they also have three important players questionable for today. Morris, Covington and Jackson might not play tonight and everything will be on two key start players shoulder.

Chicago Bulls are a good home team with a record of 13-10 at home. They played 4 out of the last 5 games on the road and they will play the next couple of games at home. This is where they are strongest. The Bulls are on 10th place in their division and they will need to step up if they want to see playoffs this season.

If we exclude the game against Charlotte, where they lost by 15 points, they played well in all other games. They beat Golden State and Atlanta at home and Pistons on the road. They lost 5 point game versus Indiana. As an interesting trend, Clippers are 1-5 ATS against the Bulls in their last 6 meetings.

Free Recommended Pick: Chicago Bulls +3

With my betting model suggesting there might be some value in taking the Bulls to cover their spread, this game could turn out to be an exciting and close one!
